All our spray guns are designed with HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) technology. This ensures a high paint displacement with a reduced air volume, guaranteeing excellent paint atomisation.
Our advice on adjusting your gun
Basic settings for a spray gun:
- Firstly, set the inlet pressure of your spray gun with a pressure regulator.
- Set to 1.2 bars (pressure specifically adapted to our DA pro spray guns).
- Air flow valve wide open.
- Fan valve fully open, tighten a quarter turn, to adjust and clean spray edges.
- Fluid valve fully open, squeeze the trigger fully, tighten the fluid valve until you feel resistance against the trigger.
- From this position, tighten one turn.
- Your gun is now set to the “Wide open” position.
This is the basic setting for all products, after-treatment, paint and varnish.
Of course, it is essential to adjust your setting with the product.

Our advice on setting up and applying paint:
After wet / wet:
- Pressure 1.5 bars, always in “wide open” position.
- Paint, keeping your spray gun 10-15cm away from the surface.
- Wait 30 minutes before applying the first coat of paint.
1st coat of paint:
- Pressure 1.2 bars always in “wide open” position.
- Always keep your spray gun 10-15 cm away.
- Always maintain 75-90% overlap between coats.
- Wait 20 minutes before applying the second coat.
- You can use P800 sandpaper to smooth this first coat.
2nd coat of paint:
- Same gun settings, same procedure as the first coat.
- DO NOT STICK!! the second coat.
3rd coat of paint:
- Apply the 3rd coat directly after the second, do not wait for the second coat to dry.
- Pressure 1 bar, in “wide open” position.
- Keep the gun at a distance of 30cm from the surface instead of 10/15cm.
- The purpose of this coat is to smooth the paint.
- Allow to dry for 30 minutes before varnishing.
1st coat of varnish:
- Pressure 1.1 bar.
- Keep the spray gun at a distance of 10-15cm.
- Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
2nd coat of varnish:
- Pressure 1.2 bar.
- Same distance as the first coat of varnish.
- The purpose of this coat is to smooth the varnish.
Your re-varnished paintwork is now complete.
Direct gloss paints:
- Pressure 1.2 bars always in “wide open” position.
- Always keep your spray gun 10-15 cm away.
- Always maintain 75-90% overlap between coats.
