Renovate the surface finish and de-ice your cylinders
To redo the “Honage” lines, which are used to retain the oil on the engine cylinders, as they were originally.
The advantages of a Flex-hone are numerous:
- It’s smoother and much easier to use than a traditional honing machine with 3 stones.
- Allows you to redo the oil lines on the cylinders
- Can be used for engine rebuilds that do not require machining
- Cylinder de-icing without the need for an engine machinist
Mount the Flex-hone on an electric drill and work back and forth in your cylinder until you achieve the desired surface finish.
Use plenty of WD-40 when using the brush in the cylinder.
